Sony has rolled out new PlayStation Store content, starting with Pulse 01/29 Edition (free), Burnout Paradise price drop ($19.99), Bejeweled 2 ($9.99), Savage Moon ($9.99), Brain Challenge PS3 + PSP games bundle ($12.99), DLCs for LittleBigPlanet ($1.99/free), Skate 2 ($7.49), The Lord of the Rings: Conquest (free), Disgaea 3 ($1.99), free Mirror's Edge map, song packs for Guitar Hero World Tour, Rock Band, and Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Encore 2, as well as the usual game/movie trailers and PS3 themes.

Disney Layoffs and Studio Consolidation Confirmed

Earlier today, rumors started flying around the internets that Disney Interactive Studios had fired over 50 employees of British Columbia-based studio Propaganda Games, known for last year's Turok and currently working on two unannounced titles, but while DIS itself confirmed layoffs, it insisted that fewer than 30 people were let go. At the same time, DIS revealed that it was going to consolidate its Salt Lake City-based studios Avalanche Software (Chicken Little/Bolt) and Fall Line Studios (Chronicles of Narnia), which resulted in another 20 people getting the pink slip.
