BrĂ¼tal Legend chronicles of Eddie Riggs, a roadie of a virtuous metal band, pulled back in time to learn his true purpose. Offered the wealth and knowledge of an ancient kingdom in exchange for assembling a legion of his own design, the roadie commands a barbaric mob of demons, dragsters, amp stacks, leather and chrome. Earlier rumors speculated that MTV Games would publish Brutal Legend, which it denied, "We are big fans of Tim Schafer. We hope the game finds a good home."

According to the last issue of Game Informer, Eidos is working on a new Batman game that's being developed by Rocksteady Studios, known for Urban Chaos: Riot Response, whose website has a countdown clock, presumably to the official announcement. Powered by the Unreal Engine 3, Batman: Arkham Asylum is a 3rd-person action game with a dark and gritty setting reminiscent of Bioshock. Sporting a story co-written by the producer of TV's Batman: The Animated Series, Paul Dini, the game features Joker and "an army" of other supervillains, and is currently scheduled for 2009.

Bionic Commando Rearmed is a makeover of the classic 8-bit game released 20 years ago, but with updated visuals, new weapons, online rankings, a reworked musical score and the addition of a 2-player co-op mode.
