EA to Publish Harmonix's Next Title

EA announced today it has signed on to publish Harmonix's next title, in cooperation with MTV. Oddly enough the announcement did not reveal any details as to what sort of title, its name, platform, nor an estimated release time. Harmonix is of course known for developing the Guitar Hero, and Karaoke Revolution franchise and promises that its next title will take all they have learned from past projects to the next level.

'Monster Hunter Freedom 2' (PSP) Sells Big In Japan

Monster Hunter Freedom 2 borrows various elements from Monster Hunter 2 on the PS2. The handheld sequel will feature ad hoc and online multiplayer, as well as new weapons and new locations such as snow-covered landscapes. MHF 2 has shipped over one million copies since its Japanese launch a little over a week ago on Feb. 22, accounting for 39% of all games sold during the week of its release.

Philips has signed a licensing agreement with Rivers Run Red to have its ambient experiences technology included in Linden Lab's 3D virtual Second Life world, allowing a dedicated amBX-enabled environment to be created through light, air movement and rumble.

'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Coming to Xbox Live Arcade - Screens

Ubisoft announced that in celebration of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise and the launch of its upcoming TMNT video game March 20, it is releasing Digital Eclipse's remake of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1989 classic arcade game on Xbox Live Arcade later this month.
