Midway Games Inc. announced today that Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance has sold-through more than two million units worldwide in combined sales, across all platforms, between its November 22, 2002 launch and July 8, 2003. Now games fans will be able to enjoy as many subscription games as they want, for as long as they want, at any time. Along with the original Three Games Package for $9.95 per month, players can now choose the Unlimited Package, which gives gamers access to all subscription games with no time limit.

Activision Inc. filed a breach of contract suit alleging media giant Viacom Inc. isn't adequately exploiting the Star Trek franchise, thereby diminishing the value of the video game developer's license to produce Star Trek-themed games. In 1998, Activision entered a 10-year licensing arrangement with Viacom that gave it exclusive rights to produce Star Trek titles across all gaming platforms.

Already revealed last week in the latest issue of Famitsu magazine, new publisher Access Games has released new screens for their PS2 game Spy Fiction. The game, which took three years to plan and has been in development for two years, is an action game that allows players to experience numerous Hollywood-style spy scenes.
