Champions of Norrath offers an online multiplayer component at no additional cost to players (Internet connection required for online multiplayer game modes, online connection fees are the responsibility of the user). Up to four players per game can adventure in Norrath over the Internet using the Network Adaptor for the PS2. KOEI Corporation announced today that sales for the company’s Dynasty Warriors franchise has reached 5 million units worldwide. The original Dynasty Warriors game was released for PlayStation in 1997, and the series continues on the PS2 and the Xbox.

Midway Games Inc. announced today that Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance has sold-through more than two million units worldwide in combined sales, across all platforms, between its November 22, 2002 launch and July 8, 2003. The game is currently available for the PlayStation2, Xbox, GameCube and Game Boy Advance.

Activision Inc. filed a breach of contract suit alleging media giant Viacom Inc. isn't adequately exploiting the Star Trek franchise, thereby diminishing the value of the video game developer's license to produce Star Trek-themed games. In 1998, Activision entered a 10-year licensing arrangement with Viacom that gave it exclusive rights to produce Star Trek titles across all gaming platforms.

The game, which took three years to plan and has been in development for two years, is an action game that allows players to experience numerous Hollywood-style spy scenes.
