Sports Interactive can finally reveal the news that all football fans have been waiting for: Championship Manager 4, the latest in the record-breaking series of football management computer games, will be released during February 2003.

Entertainment software publisher NovaLogic, Ltd. today announced it had signed the publishing rights to respected industry developer Data Becker's latest project, Highland Warriors for the PC. The epic story of bloody feuds, Scottish patriotism and English Invaders begins with the original founding of Scotland around 850 AD and peaks with the fight for independence during the 13th / 14th century. Play as one of three Scottish clans or risk your life for the British Crown in 35 historically founded missions. Highland Warriors also supports up to eight players through the Internet or LAN.

SEGA of America, Inc. today announced the release of "ToeJam & Earl III: Mission to Earth" exclusively for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft. "ToeJam and Earl III: Mission to Earth" delivers a comic adventure of cosmic proportions, blending phat beats, risque humor and truckloads of attitude into one seriously funkified quest to save the universe. The game also features special downloadable content via Xbox Live, which will be available when the service launches on Nov. 15.

The official site for the upcoming GameCube title, Mario Party 4, is now alive. The site includes screens, gameplay information and more. The game ships out October 21st.

Earlier today we announced Serious Sam hitting gold status (the US version only) and is on its way to appear in stores somewhere in November. Now we got some new nifty screens to show off the multiplayer action (up to 8 players, xbox's networked)... Njoy!

Croteam's web site has been updated with the announcement that the Xbox port of Serious Sam has gone gold. The wait is now over. At least for the US version. The US Xbox version of Serious Sam is officially approved and it is going into gold mastering. European version still needs to go over the approval.

Unreality tossed up an article this morning about the fact that Epic might be making a new version of UT called Unreal Tournament 2003 PRO! (thanks VE3D) Here is a clip:

Our goal in the CPL and any other pro offline tournament we support is to create a common set of rules that levels the playing field. To that end, the rules posted by the CPL reflect that players have only a limited set of things they can change. Exactly what will be changeable hasn’t to my knowledge been fully decided on yet.

Right now, we (as in Epic) are talking about creating a “Pro” version of the game just with tournaments like this in mind. It will be pro in terms of what game settings can be altered and what can’t. It will encompass what can be tweaked and adjusted as well as what game settings should be used. This will not be something designed for online play at this time.

The Star Trek Action Pack for the PC carries a suggested retail price of $29.99. In Evolution Worlds, Adventures like Mag Launcher, Chain Gun and Pepper Box possess Cyframes, or magical body weaponry. These Cyframes give special, skilled attacks that are learned through experience. Players can also find or buy parts to upgrade their Cyframe for more types of attacks. For example, Mag Launcher has a Cyframe that starts with a Hand and Hammer parts to do punching and pounding attacks, but he can find other parts such as a Spray for gassing, Boulders for rock attacks, Spinner for yo-yo attacks, etc. Players can add slots to carry as many as 100 parts, and upgrade the parts for more attack power.

TDK Mediactive, Inc. announced that Casper Spirit Dimensions for the Nintendo GameCube has shipped to North American retail accounts.

New weapons, units and civilian transport are provided today for Operation Flashpoint's Resistance fighters with the release of an all-new upgrade. The Operation Flashpoint: Resistance upgrade is freely available from the game's microsite in the Downloads section. Players require the original Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis and the Resistance expansion pack to use the upgrade.
