The official Red Faction 2 web site now has a sign-up page where people can fill in to receive a free Playstation 2 demo disk containing a partial build of Volition and THQ's upcoming "destroy everything" first person shooter sequel. Bethesda Softworks is pleased to announce The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal, an expansion pack for its critically acclaimed RPG, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind for PC. Scheduled for release this November, Tribunal will introduce additional content and features into the already staggering game world of Morrowind, and can be experienced by any player at any point. Gamespy already has an interview with Bethesda's Todd Howard on the just announced expansion pack.

A microchip project between Sony, Toshiba and IBM, which aims to create a powerful processor for home electronics, could be a clue to Sony's plans for gaming in the future.. Ubi Soft Entertainment and The Internet Chess Club (Chessclub.com), the world's premiere online chess destination, today announced that reigning US Chess Champion, Grandmaster Larry Christiansen, will play Chessmaster 9000 in a four game match played over two days via live internet broadcast. Battlefront.com tossed up a 60Mb Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin Demo. The demo contains two full scenarios playable by either side plus a playable tutorial and supports multiplayer gaming with hotseat or PBEM (Play by Email) or Network play via TCP/IP. For the Windows PC version the Demo is currently only available in English. For the Mac Demo, you can choose to download the demo in either English, French or German Languages.
