Harmonix and MTV Games unveiled the set list of more than 80 on-disc songs for Rock Band 2. The title will also feature an online World Tour mode, Tour Challenges, a Battle of the Bands mode that lets bands face off against other bands, and customizable set lists. It'll be backward compatible with previous Rock Band downloadable music content, and support for third-party peripherals.

DDR creator Konami has filed a lawsuit with District Court for the Eastern District of Texas against Viacom, parent company of Rock Band developer Harmonix, citing the game violates three patents filed in 2002 and 2003. Konami, who will release its own Rock Revolution later this year, is seeking monetary compensation and an order that would block defendant from using the cited peripherals.
