With the New Xbox Experience, Xbox 360 fans have been able to customize their avatars with various features and attributes. Microsoft promised it would be releasing new items every 2 weeks. Making good on its promise, you can now pimp out your avatar with a variety of American National Football League shirts (male/female), but you'll have to plop down 320 points/$4.00 for it (a cheap game goes for 400).

Redesigned and adapted specifically to take advantage of Xbox Live Arcade, players will be able to experience Tower Bloxx Deluxe in HD quality while playing through six unique game modes. You can go head-to-head in Battle Multiplayer mode with up to four players and employ power-ups on other players to increase your chance of winning, or play cooperatively and reach for the skies together as a team.

Microsoft announced the latest titles that have earned their place in the Xbox 360 Platinum Hits collection, including Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto IV, Capcom's Streetfighter IV, Valve's Left 4 Dead, THQ's Saint’s Row 2 and LucasArts' Star Wars – The Force Unleashed, making them available in stores for as low as $19.99.

Hydrophobia is a survival adventure about conquering fear in a series of entirely dynamic flooded environments. Developed by Dark Energy Digital, comprised of former Blade Interactive execs, Hydrophobia's story has divvied up into three parts, each about 5 hours long, expected to be released within a 12 month period. If the game turns out to be popular, there's content for an additional three installments.

Last night Microsoft revealed that it would be pushing live a minor firmware update for the Xbox 360, which in the meantime is already available for download. There are no new features or changes in this update however, it is merely in preparation for additional system enhancements (Facebook/Twitter/Last.FM) that will arrive later this year.

Phantom EFX's Darkest of Days, using 8Monkey Labs' proprietary Marmoset game engine, is a story-rich, first-person shooter presenting an intriguing story of time-travel to some of the darkest periods in the history of mankind. The demo, same content as last week's PC version, is now available for all Gold Members, and will be available for Silver members next week, Tuesday Sept. 22.
