Splatterhouse combines visceral, adrenaline-soaked combat with horror elements to deliver an original gaming experience that defies the boundaries of the traditional action category with over-the-top gore and shocking new gameplay mechanics. Developer BottleRocket Entertainment has licensed the Gamebryo engine, known from TES IV: Oblivion, Warhammer Online, Civ IV, etc..

Namco Bandai's Eternal Sonata boasts gorgeous graphics, 3D character models, and a groundbreaking battle system. Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, the third entry in the series, has you reprise the heroic role of Sergeant Matt Baker, a soldier of the 101st Airborne Division, during Operation Market Garden in the late stages of World War II. Originally scheduled for Aug. 26, Gearbox confirmed that the game won't appear on store shelves until Sept. 23. A Ltd. Edition includes a SGT Matt Baker figurine with 13 accessories, a the first issue of the BiA comic Book (with bonus content) and a Poster Map of Operation Market Garden.

Max Payne tells the story of a cop who wages a one-man war on crime when his wife and child are killed by thugs, but it is unclear whether the movie will follow the game plot. In Oct., the Max Payne movie is scheduled to launch, starring Mark Wahlberg (known for The Departed, Planet of the Apes or The Perfect Storm) and directed by John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines, Flight of the Phoenix). In an interview at Comic-Con, Wahlberg revealed he hasn't played the game which his latest movie is based on due to him having "an addictive personality," and responsibility to his family.

Revealed last month, NFS: Undercover will feature a very strong mission structure, influenced by the action movies The Transporter, and a better storyline with a strong narrative hook. A cinematic video on YouTube seems to show off the first footage from the new NFS installment, with the end showing a possible release date, Nov. 18, 2008. Also mentioned is a website which leads to an interactive page showing looping interrogation cam footage (featuring rumored NFS babe Christina Milan), with various clickable links showing extra content, although some won't be active until July 30 (thanks Attila).

Battle Fantasia is a 2.5D arcade fighting game, using 2D background with 3D models, developed by Arc System Works of Guilty Gear fame, and designed by artist Emiko Iwasaki. While Asia received both platforms, only the PS3 edition is scheduled in Europe, while Aksys will only release the X360 version in North America.

TrackMania Nations Forever is a new version of the Stadium environment, a solo mode and 65 new, progressively difficult tracks, uniting an even larger number of players thanks to its multiplayer modes, online functions and interactivity between players.

Crystal Dynamics has made Tomb Raider Underworld more realistic with fluid movements due to motion capturing. Set a few years after the last game, it also features persistent destruction and lush locales across the globe. Lara gets muddy in the game, but with the weather system, rain will wash it away.

Lock's Quest is an original adventure game where players create a virtual world block-by-block to defend their homeland against invading enemies. With the use of the stylus you will be able to immerse yourself into the building and creating process.
