Revealed last week Microsoft officially announced a retail price drop for its Xbox 360 consoles in Europe, and launched the Xbox 360 Elite (€449,99). From Friday, 24th August 2007, the 20 GB Xbox 360 will be reduced by €50 to €349,99, while the Core version (no HD) will be reduced €20 to €279,99.

A leaked advertisement for major retailer Carrefour reveals that Microsoft will also drop the Xbox 360 price in Europe. The announcement will most likely be made next week during the Leipzig Games Convention as the ad clearly states that the new price will go in effect August 24, also the launch date for the X360 Elite in Europe. From that date on the Premium will sell for 349 €, while the Core will carry a 279 € price tag.

While Duke Nukem Forever is still in development, 3DRealms' George Broussard
revealed that it is exploring options of bringing its 1996 classic shooter Duke Nukem 3D to Xbox Live Arcade. Broussard said, "Truth be told, we've talked to Microsoft about it and have some people that would port it. Just waiting on the good word from Microsoft to continue."
