Released on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console earlier this year, SEGA has unexpectedly released its old school beat-'em-up Streets of Rage 2 to Xbox Live Arcade, now multiplayer enabled (2 player Live/Local) and with optimized HD graphics. Streets of Rage 2 is now available for download on Xbox Live Arcade and will set you back a mere 400 Microsoft Points.

After making its 2006 debut in Asian arcade halls, scanned pages from Japanese magazine Arcadia reveal that shoot'em up Trigger Heart Exelica will be making an appearance on Xbox Live Arcade. Released on Dreamcast earlier this year, Trigger Heart Exelica allows you to capture enemy ships and use them against waves of attackers. No further details are available at this point ...

EA Tiburon, known for Madden NFL Football and NCAA Football titles, has developed the latest installment in the Tiger Woods franchise. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 will include two new features, GamerNet And Photo Game Face. EA has released a 733mb playable demo on Xbox Live Marketplace.

Microsoft is taking a precautionary measure and voluntarily providing customers with a free retrofit to the Xbox 360 Wireless Wheel, due to a very small number of incidents of a malfunction, where a component in the Wheel chassis may in rare cases overheat and release smoke when the AC-DC power supply is used to energize the Wheel.

Revealed last week Microsoft officially announced a retail price drop for its Xbox 360 consoles in Europe, and launched the Xbox 360 Elite (€449,99). From Friday, 24th August 2007, the 20 GB Xbox 360 will be reduced by €50 to €349,99, while the Core version (no HD) will be reduced €20 to €279,99.

A leaked advertisement for major retailer Carrefour reveals that Microsoft will also drop the Xbox 360 price in Europe. The announcement will most likely be made next week during the Leipzig Games Convention as the ad clearly states that the new price will go in effect August 24, also the launch date for the X360 Elite in Europe. From that date on the Premium will sell for 349 €, while the Core will carry a 279 € price tag.
