Fallout 3 places a player in the role of a Vault-dweller, who ventures from his secluded, underground survival Vault into a post-apocalyptic world of mutants, radiation, gangs and violence. At the Microsoft briefing Bethesda's Todd Howard revealed that the Xbox 360 and PC editions of Fallout 3 will receive "substantial" downloadable content.

A slew of changes was announced at Microsoft's press briefing earlier today, including an arrangement with Netflix and the previous PS3-exclusive Final Fantasy XIII coming to the X360. Set in an future-fantasy world, Demigod is a team-based action/RPG/RTS hybrid game that casts you as a hero waging war to obtain a position within the pantheon of gods. While we already knew Demigod was coming in Feb. 2009, Stardock will be offering people who pre-order the game access to the beta in, which is scheduled to start in Aug., followed by Beta 2 in Oct. and Beta 3 in Dec,008.

Atari announced the appointment of former Sony Computer Entertainment America Director of Marketing Jeff Reese as its Vice President of Marketing, reporting to Jim Wilson, CEO and President of Atari, Inc.

While yesterday Flagship Studio confirmed some layoffs and vigorously denied any take over attempts of its diabloesque first-person RPG Hellgate: London, it turns outs that most of it was true. A legal notice sent out by Hanbitsoft's law office revealed "It is unfortunate that Flagship turned down additional investments HanbitSoft offered to make that would have allowed it to keep its doors open" has now been confirmed by Community Manager, Taylor Balbi. Mythos right reverted to Korena publisher HanbitSoft as part of an earlier investment, and Hellgate's went to Comerica, due to some loan agreement.
