Square Enix has expressed interest in acquiring troubled developer Tecmo, whose president resigned last week amid legal issues with former Team Ninja producer Tomonobu Itagaki. Square Enix is planning a friendly takeover and has made the Tecmo board of directors an offer to purchase a controlling interest at a 30% premium.
