Epic's Gears of War and UT3 art director Jerry O'Flaherty has signed on to direct Warner Bros.' CG-animated "Thundercats" feature, based on the popular '80s cartoon series. O'Flaherty and Paul Sopocy will work on the script, while Paula Weinstein, Dick Robertson and Lew Korman will direct. Thundercats revolves around a group of humanoid cats who must flee the destroyed planet of Thundera. After crash-landing on another planet, Third Earth, they must thwart Mumm-Ra, an evil sorcerer bent on killing them off.

Oblivion is a single-player RPG that takes place in Tamriel's capital province, Cyrodiil. You are given the task of finding the hidden heir to an empty throne, the previous emperor having been killed by an unknown assassin. Expected to make an appearance on the PS3, Capcom surprised everybody at the Nintendo Fall Conference in Japan by announcing Monster Hunter 3 for the Wii instead. No further details were revealed, but MH Tri-, pronounced as "try," is part of Nintendo's multiplatform strategy, so maybe there will be a PS3 version somewhere down the line.

The weapon-based fighting game franchise has been reinvented as Namco Bandai announced Soulcalibur Legends exclusively for the Wii, fully immersing players in a 3rd person action adventure that takes a unique approach to the series by truly utilizing the Wii Remote and Nunchuk.
