The next standalone chapter in Relic's RTS franchise, WH 40K: Dawn of War - Soulstorm features an extensive interplanetary campaign spanning an entire star system in the WK40K universe, as well as introducing two all-new factions for an unprecedented total of nine playable races.

Activision, RedOctane and developer Harmonix are getting sued by rock band The Romantics over the inclusion of its hit single "What I Like About You," by cover band Wavegroup Sound, in Guitar Hero II Rocks The 80s. Reason? The Romantics claim that the performance is "virtually indistinguishable from the authentic version" and might confuse consumers as to whether the recording is an original piece.

Originally planned for the Xbox, but eventually canceled, Success is bringing its trilogy of Raiden Fighters shoot- 'em-up games to the Xbox 360. Raiden Fighters, its sequel and Raiden Fighters Jet will come bundled with a DVD featuring footage of the best Japanese players in action. It's currently only scheduled for release in Japan in 2008.

Previously banned in Australia due to excessive violence and blood, Activision has quietly submitted a revised/censored version, removing rag doll physics and enemy dismemberments, and reducing blood effects.
