In an
interview with C&VG, Valve's Doug Lombardi confirmed that the next chapter in the episodic FPS series, Half-Life 2: Episode 2 is suffering a further delay and will not get released early 2007, but is now scheduled for release in summer 2007. Assumingly the pushing back has to do with extra time needed to polish the game, considering it comes with Portal and Team Fortress 2.

With the PS3 release date drawing near, several of launch titles might not make it in time. EBgames/Gamestop have updated release dates for
F.E.A.R. and
TES4: Oblivion, putting Vivendi's shooter to Jan. 1st 2007, while Bethesda's RPG is scheduled for Feb. 2007. SEGA needs extra time to incorporate downloadable content for Sonic The Hedgehog, which won't make launch date, but should still arrive before year's end.
