Activision announced today that it has signed award-winning composer Joel Goldsmith, known for Stargate: Atlantis, Witchblade, Helen of Troy, to score the soundtrack for Call of Duty 3, his console video game debut in a career that spans more than twenty years.

UK's BBFC has granted Eidos' Reservoir Dogs an 18+ rating (equivalent of the ESRB's M Rating), but the the Association of Chief Police Officers has voiced its total disapproval of the game, due to its violent emotions, especially against members of the police service, and that it encourages to torture, shoot and execute policemen. Earlier this year New Zealand's Office of Film and Literature Classification banned the game because it "encourages the player to perform – and showcases in slow motion – the most extreme forms of violence and brutality for the purpose of entertainment."

Today, Ubisoft and Techland announce that Call of Juarez will be coming to a next generation console in 2007, and that the PC version in the US will be held to coincide with the launch of the console version, while the release dates in Europe remain unchanged.
