Famed developer John Romero sort of vanished the past few month after his
quiet departure from Midway, where he was working on Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows. Not until several weeks after the fact did it become known that he had left, and hasn't been heard from since. Today Romero posted a small update in
his personal blog, stating that he is "co-founder of a new game company in the bay area and am much better off in many ways than I was at Midway." No name for the new development studio was given, nor for the new project that Romero is working on, except "When news of my new game somehow gets out, I think everyone will be a bit shocked." Earlier this week rumors went wild that 2K Games informed us that the eagerly anticipated Serious Sam 2 demo will be released tomorrow morning at 10AM EDT (7am PST). The single/multiplayer demo will feature the complete Seriousopolis Uptown level, playable over LAN and co-op with up to four people, all weapons included and will also have one of the vehicles. Of course we will have the demo available on our fileserver network at the aforementioned time.

Namco today confirmed that it has signed an agreement wtth EA Europe to co-publish the PAL version of Frame City Killer. Frame City Killer is a next generation action game for the Xbox 360, featuring detailed graphics powered by the Unreal Engine 3 and immersive, non-linear gameplay, Frame City Killer is set to deliver an intense gaming experience early in 2006.
Through stylized Mexican neighborhoods and jungle hideouts to the swanky Californian coast, Total Overdose is an over-the-top, adrenalin-fuelled, free-style action, 3rd person cinematic adventure with a strong whiff of tequila. Gran Turismo developer Polyphony Digital announced today it is currently working on another racing game for the PS2. Tourist Trophy will be the real riding simulator as its subtitle implies and will try to compete with other motorcycle franchises such as the MotoGP series. TT will features fully customizable bikes from the 80s and 90s, with models from top brands such as Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki etc. While details are still slim, Tourist Trophy is scheduled for release in Japan early 2006. Lumines creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi has unveiled his newest PSP creation, Every Extend Extra. As with most of his other titles gameplay and music are closely intertwined and are equally important in the game experience. E3 is a mix between shoot'm up and strategy, as you have to provoke chain reactions by avoiding enemy fire. Not too many details were disclosed yet, but Every Extend Extra is expected in Japanese stores January 2006, so more will be revealed in the near future.

As you can see from the screens and trailer, Snake is much older than any of the previous titles, and the events in MGS 4 take places several years after Metal Gear Solid 2.
