A recent case of suicide by a boy addicted to Internet games has increased the public's concern over the issue of Internet Addiction Disorder (IAD). Xiao Yi, a 13-year-old from Tianjin, committed suicide thinking that he would meet his friends from cyber space after he died. He jumped from the top of a 24-storey high-rise, Beijing Youth Daily reported yesterday.

In an
interview with EuroGamer, Remedy's Petri Järvilehto said that they were looking into the possibility to offer its upcoming next-gen title Alan Wake through a system similar to Valve's Steam. Fans of boxed games can rest assured though, as Remedy is only looking into it as an "option," while its main distributiuon will be done through the conventional boxed copy method. Petri also said that he thinks a digital only distribution is still a ways off.

Battlefront.com and IDDK/Crazy House proudly announce that T72: Balkans on Fire! has now officially reached Gold status and is ready for release. Production of the finished goods (CDs and printed manual) begins immediately, and the game is expected to ship to customers in late June/early July.
