Eidos Interactive announces Way of the Samurai on PlayStation 2. The game reached No.1 in the Japanese gaming charts when it was released in February this year. Licensed from Japanese publisher Spike Co. Ltd, Way of the Samurai will be released in September in Europe and Australasia only.

BAM! Entertainment today announced that it will publish Way of the Samurai for the Sony PlayStation 2. Way of the Samurai, a 3D action-adventure game, is a weapons-based combat game with an interesting story element that follows a sizeable cast of characters. Computer and video game publisher Gathering of Developers, a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., along with PC developer, Croteam, announced today that "Serious Sam: The Second Encounter" has gone gold. The game is due to arrive on store shelves February 5, 2002.
