While there has not yet been any official announcement, Final Fantasy Tactics A2 is Square Enix's latest foray in presenting the FF franchise as a turn-based strategy. The PSP has Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lion War and now the NDS gets the first Tactics title since the GBA. A formal announcement is expected next month at the Square Enix Party 2007.

Using the features of the NDS to their fullest, Final Fantasy III features graphics that have been reworked and remodeled in 3D, while maintaining the mythical Final Fantasy look and feel. Previously only announced coming spring 2007, Square has given FF III a specific release date, May 4, 2007.
