Square Enix U.S.A., Inc. announced today that "Final Fantasy XI" for PC will begin shipping to North American retailers in late October. "Final Fantasy XI", the first online title in the world-renowned series, is a cross-platform, cross-continent massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). "Final Fantasy XI" allows gamers to connect to the same exact world regardless of whether they are playing on the PC or PlayStation2 and whether they are playing in North America or Japan (thanks HLF).

Max Design and SUNFLOWERS will be providing ANNO 1503 players the multi-player mode free of charge. Fans will be able to download the multi-player update free of charge once the comprehensive test phase has been completed. This week Max Design and SUNFLOWERS will begin an external test in which already chosen participants will subject the ANNO 1503 multi-player mode to weeks of exhaustive testing. This test will then be expanded to a public test. Interested parties will soon be able to register on the official ANNO 1503 website at www.anno1503.com. Tri Synergy has signed Russian publisher Buka Entertainment's (developed by Saturn+) adventure game Midnight Nowhere. Midnight Nowhere is a 3D visually stunning horror survival adventure with a very involute plot. In this suspenseful, story-driven adventure you will solve numerous puzzles and battle creatures of the dark to reveal the ultimate mystery. Besides the main character seems to have nearly a limitless supply of witty comments, which luckily makes the game a tad less serious. The mix of humor and violence works very well though, keeping you on the edge of your seat, both laughing and in fright.
