Bizzplanet dropped us a note that they have a transcript of the Word Of Warcraft fansite chat that was held a few days ago. The reason of the meeting was to talk about World of Warcraft. Each Fan Site submitted 3 questions by email, and some of them were chosen for the chat. Katricia and Lisa Bucek led the Q&A, followed by George Wang and Gil Shif with few interventions. During a press conference held today, Blizzard Entertainment announced plans to build a local World of Warcraft team in Europe. The team will be responsible for community relations, customer service, and technical support for the game. Additionally, they will manage the distribution and hosting of World of Warcraft on local European servers. With a regional team in place, Blizzard intends to affirm its commitment to the European game community by delivering a massively-multiplayer experience of unparalleled quality.

Anytime between now and 6:00 pm PST on Wednesday, February 4th, residents of Canada, Korea, and the US can submit their applications for a chance to help test one of the most anticipated massively multiplayer online role-playing games of 2004. Blizzard has announced the beta signups start for their massive multiplayer online role-playing game World of WarCraft.
The Blizzard Web site has word that you can start signing up as of 6pm PST on Wednesday, January 28th (will only accept applications from Canada, Korea, and the US). "The test for Europe and other countries around the world will happen later this year. Testers are not going to be chosen on a first-come, first-served basis, so you will be able to submit an application and receive equal consideration anytime during the signup period."

iEntertainment Network (IENT) announced today the posting of a terrific new movie on the award winning TotalSims product, WarBirds III. The new release, “Tribute to Preddy”, includes many of the new features of the current WarBirds III version. This Movie has excellent visuals of actual online flying including P-51 Mustangs, FW-190s, and B-17 Bombers. It also has a great sound track and is a stirring tribute to the life of Lt. Preddy, who gave his life in defense of his country.

Playnet and Cornered Rat Software have released info on their upcoming v1.9 update patch to the massively multiplayer online game, World War II Online. In v1.9 we will see new tons of fixes & tweaks as well as new gameplay additions such as : depot spawning, porting the Unity 3D graphics engine to OpenGL, adding another 40 cities/towns/ports to already the largest online world, debris additions from shell hits on aircraft, shell ejections in first and third person and more battlefield explosions and plenty plenty more (thanks Python61). Playnet and Cornered Rat Software have released a major update to the massively multiplayer online game, World War II Online and announced an exclusive free trial for Macintosh users at Inside Mac Games. Version 1.8 has introduced several new features including updated terrain, new special effects, network update rate increase for better playability and the introduction of French, German and British 1941 vehicles to the European Theater of Operations. The Hawker Hurricane IIc, Supermarine Spitfire MkV, German Panzer III H and Daimler Mk I Armored Car are just some of the vehicles included.
