Rockstar Games proudly announced today that the PC version of the global blockbuster, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, is set to hit retail shelves in North America on May 13th and in Europe on May 16th. The PC version will possess enhanced features including improved graphics and sound, additional PC controls, as well as several options for players to customize the game.

The official Grand Theft Auto: Vice City web site has posted up a new trailer in its movies section showing off more gameplay from the upcoming Rockstar Games PS2 crime action game follow up that's due out in stores late this month. Look for seven Grand Theft Auto: Vice City soundtrack albums to be released in conjunction with the launch of Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for the PlayStation2 on October 29. The soundtracks will be the quintessential 80's music collection, with each genre-based album replicating the game's 1980's radio FM dial, with stations ranging from Heavy Metal and Soul to Rap and Pop. Over 80 tracks from artists such as Judas Priest, Blondie, Flock of Seagulls, Kool & the Gang, Hall & Oates, Grandmaster Flash, Cutting Crew and many more will be included that span the entire musical spectrum of the period.

Good news for all PS2 fans.
PlayStation2 Era got information from a contact at Rockstar Games that their hailed game of the year title, Grand Theft Auto III will see a sequel on PlayStation 2 by year's end. Apparently the game has been in development for some while now with confirmed development on PS2 and rumored development on Xbox. The cities will be even more functional than GTA3, with characters you see on the street a lot more interactive than what was seen in previous titles.

TVG let us know that Take 2 Interactive today announced the PC version of the hit PlayStation 2 game Grand Theft Auto 3 will ship for PC during April of 2002. It may seam a little far away but hopefully the developers will have time to tweak the game for maximum performance on the PC.
