The official ANNO 1503 website has word that Sunflowers has cancelled the Anno 1503 multiplayer patch (already in development since August 2003). After more than 20 attempts they could not get the multiplayer patch/addon to work for more than 2 hours gameplay time and thus decided to call it quits (thanks Gamestar.de).
