NovaLogic, Ltd. today announced that they have teamed up with Even Balance, Inc. to integrate the PunkBuster Anti-Cheat system into the soon to be released PC game Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising. The move by NovaLogic to include the PunkBuster software in Joint Operations is another positive step in the company's continuing crusade to stop cheating in multiplayer games.

Besieger is a new real-time 3D strategy is set in a medieval fantasy world in which rival players wage war as either Viking or Cimmerian warriors. Gamers will need to conquer factions such as Ogres, Werewolves and Centaurs and besiege towns on horseback or build primitive flying machines to win their battles. NFS-Planet has a transcript of a community chat with EA Assistant Producer Scott Nielsen in where he confirms the next NFS title will be NFS Underground 2. During the chat he revealed several details on what to expect in the sequel such as : possibility for replay and observer/spectator mode, better online/cheat security, most likely no track editor, larger amount of online slots (NFS:U only had 4), better and more realistic physics, an expanded car list, option to turn off collisions, overhaul of the chat system/interface, better damage model. More info and the first screens are expected to be released at E3.

After yesterday's somewhat
upbeat message by means of their financial results and revelation of various new titles, it seems all is not well over at Interplay. An
article on Gamespot seems to indicate that Interplay is 3 months behind on the rent for their Irvine facilities and are facing eviction if they dont come up with roughly $450,000 in change. Although by now the eviction has expired and since Interplay is still on location, that would indicate something has been resolved.
