Former Ensemble Studios programmer Dusty Monk has launched Windstorm Studios. No formal announcement has been made yet, but it was revealed that the independent studio is working on a new MMO. A big fan of titles such as Ultima Online, EverQuest, and World of Warcraft, Monk wants to create an MMO that breaks the mold of depressing postapocalyptic titles with gray streets beneath gray skies, killing gray zombies, and hints at a game with cities of glass and steel, and most importantly, flying cars. Previously, Monk has worked on such titles as Age of Empires, Halo Wars, Ready 2 Rumble Boxing and the canceled Halo MMO.
