GTA IV: The Lost and Damned features a new main character and plot that intersects with the storyline of GTA IV; new missions that offer an entirely fresh way to explore Liberty City with new multiplayer modes, weapons and vehicles. It's starting to get messy surrounding Midway's bankruptcy proceedings, as media mogul Sumner Redstone and his daughter, former chairperson of the board, are being
subpoenaed by creditors after Midway recently filed for Chapter 11. Apparently the company's unsecured creditors fear insider trading and have some questions about the events leading up to Sumner's sale of the company for a suspiciously low $100K to current majority owner Mark Thomas.

Last month, we reported that Square Enix was making a move to acquire Eidos, with the backing of Eidos' board. Both companies have agreed to the buyout terms, pending approval of the shareholders, which will be put to a vote at a meeting in late March. If all goes well, and the court approves the dates, Eidos shares will be suspended on Apr. 21, with the settlement to be reached on May 6.

Last week UbiSoft's VP of publishing Jay Cohen resigned indicating that he would be working with a more traditional entertainment company in Los Angeles. Multiple sources have confirmed to
Variety that Cohen has now teamed up with the game studio formed by MTV Games and Jerry Bruckheimer Films. Since the announcement of the joint venture back in late 2007, no details have been released what the studio is working on, apart from the fact that Bruckheimer would NOT make any titles based on his movies or TV series, but rather based on original IPs.

Midway has been struggling with finances for quite a while, filing losses year after year, which led to its main shareholder
selling the company for $100k. Last month, Midway
filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and
asked Ubisoft for help with publishing Wheelman. According to
recently filed court documents, Midway is looking for "execution of an asset purchase agreement for the sale of Midway's Mortal Kombat franchise assets," which means it wants to sell the MK franchise, giving upper management a bonus for doing so, while
cutting employees' promised PTO (personal time off).
