Strategy First and Flying Labs announced today that they have released a patch for their award winning strategy game, Rails Across America. The patch allows players to navigate the map and view financial reports even while the game is paused, giving them more time to make decisions and to explore the Rails Across America environment. The patch also includes a new map editor that allows players to create their own maps (for single player mode only), as well as some minor bug fixes and tweaks to gameplay.

Activision, Inc. announced today that the company has extended its successful partnership with world-renowned skateboarder Tony Hawk through an exclusive multi-year video game licensing agreement that expires in 2015. Mr. Hawk will continue to headline Activision O2's flagship action sports franchise, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, which has generated approximately $500 million worldwide through March 31, 2002 and which was the single largest independent U.S. video game franchise during calendar 2001, according to NPD.

Frontline Attack: War over Europe, a 3D real-time strategy game in the works at Poland-based development teams In Images and Reality Pump. Frontline Attack: War over Europe uses the Earth III engine known from games such as Earth 2140, Earth 2150. Eidos seems to have picked up the rights to Zuxxez Entertainment's "World War II: Panzer Claws", the 3D RTS that was already in development since last year. German RTS fans can rejoice, the game will be released a full month earlier than anywhere else. Njoy the screens!

Microsoft Game Studios and Turbine Entertainment Software Corp. today announced that "Asheron's Call 2" fans will have the chance to participate in the making of their next massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) through the "Asheron's Call 2 Name That Monster Contest." Those who enter will be able to submit name proposals for one of the game's boss monsters. This new patch v1.07 offers new multiplayer features, such as extending multiplayer to the strategic map as well as introducing a hot seat mode for multiplayer duels on a single computer. Update patch v.1.07 fixes a number of issues that were found in 1.06 dealing with the strategic multiplayer mode, including multiple problems with connections and the loading of previously saved games. Blizzard Entertainment, a studio of the Games division of Vivendi Universal Publishing, today announced that Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos has surpassed 1 million units sold worldwide, according to EDI sell-through, internal company estimates and reports from key retail accounts around the world. More than 4.4 million units of the game have been shipped to retail to satisfy demand for Warcraft III, which is now the fastest-selling PC game ever, surpassing the records set in 2000 and 2001 by two other Blizzard titles, Diablo II and the expansion set, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, respectively.

SCi Entertainment Group plc ("SCi") is pleased to announce a development agreement with Pivotal Games Ltd ("Pivotal") for two further products in the highly successful Conflict series.
