While EA has yet to officially announce the next installment in its hockey franchise, there won't be a PC or PS2 edition of NHL 10, according to the
Hockey Downloads forum. Citing "economic reasons," EA's Ryan Nicholas revealed that it wasn't worth putting manpower into those versions. PC sales aren't high enough to create a significant profit for the company, and those development teams have instead been reassigned to work on the X360/PS3 versions.

Last month, Tecmo teased that it would be making a
major announcement at GDC, and while that is still the case, the latest issue of Japanese magazine
Famitsu revealed that Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for the PS3 is in development, which is now confirmed by Tecmo itself. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is an improved version of the X360's Ninja Gaiden II, featuring a new playable character (Ayane), new boss fights and weapon, currently scheduled for release fall 2009 in Japan/North America, followed by Europe.
