According to the last issue of Game Informer, Eidos is working on a new Batman game that's being developed by Rocksteady Studios, known for Urban Chaos: Riot Response, whose website has a
countdown clock, presumably to the official announcement. Powered by the Unreal Engine 3, Batman: Arkham Asylum is a 3rd-person action game with a dark and gritty setting reminiscent of Bioshock. Sporting a story co-written by the producer of TV's Batman: The Animated Series, Paul Dini, the game features Joker and "an army" of other supervillains, and is currently scheduled for 2009.

As promised Nvidia has released new graphics drivers allowing owners of most GeForce 8, GeForce 9, and GeForce GTX 200-series cards to automatically use PhysX acceleration.
