Released on Wii earlier this year, Big Willy was also scheduled for PSP, which according to THQ has been canceled due to the controls not porting over well to the PSP.

Call of Duty: World at War, using the Call of Duty 4 engine, completely changes the rules of engagement by redefining WWII gaming and thrusting players into the final tension-filled, unforgiving battles against a new ferocious enemy in the most dangerous and suspenseful action ever seen.

Fury is a competitive online RPG, taking the best elements of an MMO - combat, advancement and teamwork - and blending them with the best elements of an FPS - instant action, fast pacing and diverse game types. The writing's been on the wall ever since Auran laid off its employees and filed for Chapter 11 protection, but now the curtain has dropped, the developer notified players that the game, and its website, will shut down within 48 hours.

A Thai 18-year-old high school student confessed to robbing and murdering a 54-year-old taxi driver with a knife on Monday, claiming he wanted to find out if it was as easy in real life to rob a taxi as it was in GTA IV. Police said the teen was an obsessive player of the video game, showed no sign of mental problems and confessed committing the crime explicitly because of the game. If found guilty, he faces death by lethal injection. Thailand currently has no game ratings, but the Thai distributor dropped the game due to this incident.

Midway released its Q2 2008 financial results revealing net revenues dropped from Q2 2007's $31.8 million to $23.4 million, albeit ahead of the estimated $18 million. Losses more than doubled from Q2 2007's $14.3 million to $34.8 million.

Set five years after the original, San Vanelona's been rebuild after it was hit by a natural disaster. Skate 2 will sport a Tiger Woods-like character editor, allow you to play as a girl, and have no load times when teleporting to a session marker. The game now also allows you to get off your skateboard and move objects around in the world to open new pathways, while pedestrians will automatically move out of your way.

While there is no official announcement yet, Acquire is developing the next installment in the Way of the Samurai franchise, currently only scheduled for release in Japan this fall. As we mentioned last week, Naughty Dog has released a 13mb patch (v1.01) for Uncharted adding 48 trophies. Unfortunately these are not retroactive, so you'll need to replay the game.
