Rumblings and rumors have been persistent for quite a while now, but according to
TradingMarkets, an industry insider claims that the first foreign online game for China's leading online game operator, Netease.com, will be Starcraft Online, developed by US-based Blizzard. Netease CEO Ding Lei didn't confirm the rumor, only stating that it is observing many online games and has not signed any formal license contract.

Over the past few fiscal quarters, it has become quite obvious that Blizzard's World of Warcraft is Vivendi's main source of income, driving its revenue month after month, but we never really knew how much cold hard cash it brought in. As the year came to an end, Vivendi made its 2007 tally, $1.51 billion for the year, up 26% compared to 2006, $1.2 billion coming from Blizzard's MMORPG.
