"I keep reading all over forums that we're going to make a 360 version of BLACK, and it's just not true." Alex denied the reason that BLACK doesn't work on the X360 as a sign EA simply holding out for a possible port, but he went on to say that the sequel will be on the nextgen console somewhere in the future.

the official Rainbow Six website has a clock counting down to 12 days from now, on which Ubisoft promises a major announcement. Speculations are of course going wild but it is interesting to note that the counter started ticking from 360 on down, maybe indicating that the Rainbow Six franchise is making the jump to Xbox 360.

UK's Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) received three complaints from viewers about
misleading TV ads regarding Activision's Call of Duty 2 and CoD2: Big Red One and has them taken off the air. The complaints were made due to pre-rendered material, made exclusively for the TV ads, that do not represent the end user quality of the product. While Activision claims such practices are standard procedure, ASA does not agree and regulations do require ad material to be accurate representations of the product.

A little while back, Microsoft announced it had signed a deal with satellite tv provider DirecTV, although there were no details beyond that it would "extend the DirectTV experience to the Xbox 360 system." OXM's rumor section reveals that this might translate into an entire new blade in the X360 Dashboard, offering all sort of goodies in High Definition, such as TV episodes, movies on demand and TiVo-like functions such as standard-definition streaming (DVR). No confirmation or estimated release date could be obtained from Microsoft beyond the typical "no comment on rumors" reply.

According to the rumor section in the latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM) X360 owners could still see F.E.A.R. on Microsoft's nextgen console in 2006. Not really that much of a stretch as F.E.A.R developers Monolith have already made Condemned for the Xbox 360, which used the same engine, so technologically, it should be feasible. If it is indeed scheduled for this year, there should be an official announcement shortly.
