Xbox 360 goes on sale tonight at midnight, and gamers are expected to be waiting in line to get them. But, as of this morning, nearly 3,000 of the hot new game consoles are currently available for pre-sale on eBay. Over the past two weeks on eBay, nearly 9,000 Xbox 360 units have been pre-sold at an Average Sold Price of nearly $550, reflecting a frenzy of bidding. Many of the pre-sold units are bundled with game cartridges (retailing at $50-$60) and accessories.

Last week it was revealed that Microsoft currently has over 200 Xbox titles that are compatible and working on its next-gen X360 console. This only being the case for North American versions of the console, the list for other territories was not yet available. Earlier this week Japanese gamers got a huge disappointment with only 12 titles, and today Europeans picking up an Xbox 360 will be able to play
over 150 Xbox titles. Remember this only works with the harddrive enabled system, not the cheap Core System, unless you upgrade. The process is made possible by software emulation, games will be playable in High Def. with antialiasing, which will be freely downloadable, burn on cd and insert in the X360, or install automatically through Xbox Live.

It seems not only the North American and European Xbox 360 launch lineup suffers from delays, but now also Japanese gamers looking forward to Microsoft's next gen console launch will be missing a few anticipated titles. From Software's RPG -eNCHANT arM- has been pushed back from Dec. 10 to January 12, 2006, while Q Entertainment's action adventure title Ninety-Nine Nights is now scheduled for spring 2006.

A few days ago Bungie revealed both its Halo titles will be playable on the new Xbox 360, but it seems Microsoft has been hard at work with other popular franchises as it revealed today

A while back, Microsoft announced that the 360 would have some level of backward compatibility. Today Bungie revealed that both Halo titles will work on the Xbox 360, with no alterations, just use your old games and plop them in. The only difference will be the somewhat better quality on HDTVs due to it being widescreens and higher rez. Halo's splitscreen and Halo 2's multiplayer modes are still functional as before. WoWGuru claims to have received information from a former Blizzard employee that the studio will be unveiling Diablo 3 at BlizzCon. Said to be a Massively Multiplayer Online much like World of Warcraft, the concept being Hell invading Heaven, Darkness taking over Light, and it will include Guild Housing. That same source also revealed that Starcraft 2 has been in development and Diablo is being worked on for the X360 and not World of Warcraft as was previously rumored. We will know more tomorrow when Blizzard officially kicks off BlizzCon at the Anaheim Convention Center
