Red Octane co-founder Charles Huang revealed in an
interview with C-NET that it plans to bring Guitar Hero the the NDS. While it will be unlikely that a plastic guitar is involved Huang promises a unique gaming experience, with both Red Octane and Nintendo are looking into possibilities to add some sort of controller. The goal is to make Guitar Hero DS affordable, and playable where gamers usually go to play their handheld.

Former Red Storm Creative Director Christian Allen revealed that he is leaving his position at Red Storm and has accepted a Design Lead offer over at Bungie, to work "on something a bit different than Ghost Recon." Christian Allen, a former US Marine, joined Red Storm in 2002, and worked his way up from Assistant Designer to Creative Director, but having worked on 7 different Ghost Recon titles, all good things come to an end.

A few days ago gossip magazine The Inquirer claimed that it had received information regarding the upcoming DirectX10.1 update not being compatible with current DX10 hardware. Microsoft's DirectX lead program manager Sam Glassenberg
debunked that rumor as false, and confirmed that all DirectX10 enabled cards will work fine with the minor DX10.1 update, it may just be that the new features are not incorporated.

After we previously had one of the
PGR4 developers speaking out about their game being limited by the HD DVD (even though it was retracted shortly thereafter) Epic's VP Mark Rein made a similar statement. At the Edinburgh Interactive Festival
Rein stated, "We'll compress some things. But you know, we may have fewer maps on the 360 version...Blu-Ray has definitely given us a lot of legroom."
