The Ghosts are back and ready for more action as Ubi Soft announces the Q3 2003 release of a stand-alone Xbox campaign disk for the award-winning Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon is the game that gave Xbox Live players the total battlefield experience and earned numerous awards for its stunning gameplay and features, "Xbox Live's most exciting experience yet" said Edge magazine in their review of Ghost on Xbox Live. The game also received an Elite award from the Official Xbox Magazine UK, and Editor's Choice Award from ign.com.

Codemasters announced that its latest installment of the critically acclaimed racing series, Colin McRae Rally 3, shipped today for the Xbox. LucasArts is pleased to announce that Indiana Jones® and the Emperor's Tomb for Xbox has been approved for manufacturing and will be in stores February 25th! Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb features The Collective's proprietary 3D engine that supports completely immersive, highly interactive environments. The game will offer 10 levels, all set in unique locales such as a 15th century castle that looms over Prague, an underwater palace in Istanbul, and a mountaintop fortress in China. SpectraVideo plc are now shipping the new Logic3 FreeBird RF Wireless Game Pad and the S-Pad– both for the Xbox console. These two new controllers feature an improved ergonomic design, but with out losing any of the functionality found in the earlier, larger controllers.

Gates says the new box will have a lot of multimedia functions beyond just gaming. "The next-generation Xbox will feature digital media capabilities such as video and photo editing in addition to games," Gates was quoted as saying. This isn't very surprising, since the future of home console gaming seems to be moving more and more toward becoming multimedia devices that can replace everything but the TV in your entertainment center.

Vivendi and Interplay today announced the development of Hunter: The Reckoning Redeemer, developed by High Voltage Software exclusively for the Xbox. Based on the gothic world of White Wolf's pen and paper role-playing games, Hunter: The Reckoning is returning to Xbox fueled with more intense action than the original. An all-new character joins the original team of four to destroy hordes of new supernatural enemies in never before seen areas. Single or multi-player battles will be waged with the addition of new weapons, power ups, edges (spells) and Hunter-specific combat moves.
