A remake of 3D Realms' FPS Duke Nukem 3D is inching closer as earlier this week the
achievements list indicated the imminent release, which has now been
confirmed by Xbox rep Jason Ing, stating it has passed certification and is expected to hit XBLA in September. an insider over at IGN it maybe very well happen rather soon, as it seems scheduled to launch on Xbox Live in the next few months. 3D Realms' classic FPS will of course sport enhanced gfx, but apparently also feature a four-player online co-op, as well as an eight-player online deathmatch mode.

While Duke Nukem Forever is still in development, 3DRealms' George Broussard
revealed that it is exploring options of bringing its 1996 classic shooter Duke Nukem 3D to Xbox Live Arcade. Broussard said, "Truth be told, we've talked to Microsoft about it and have some people that would port it. Just waiting on the good word from Microsoft to continue."
