Coming this winter, Capcom is bringing its classic arcade titles to the Nintendo Wii’s Virtual Console Arcade.  As previewed at New York Comic Con, six titles will be released in all: SONSON, 1942, Ghosts’n Goblins, Black Tiger, EXED EXES, and Commando: Wolf of the Battlefield.

At the Tokyo Game Show Capcom announced that it is acquiring Dead Rising 2 developer Blue Castle Games, also known for The Bigs. The development studio will henceforth be known as Capcom Games Vancouver and will work closely with Capcom on the development of future games.

Capcom confirmed that it has appointed David Reeves as COO at its European subsidiary. This role, effective from April 1st, 2010, will see Reeves responsible for overseeing all aspects of the European operation with the remit to maximize potential revenue and explore new areas for growth throughout the region.

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars pairs well-known characters from Capcom's roster of games with some of Japan's most beloved characters from anime powerhouse Tatsunoko Production. Issuing a statement regarding Special Loss and Forecast Revision, Capcom revealed that it is delaying Lost Planet 2, Super Street Fighter IV And Monster Hunter Tri from their scheduled Q1 2010 launch periods to the next quarter, which starts Apr. 1, 2010. While Dark Void (PS3/X360/PC) and Capcom vs. Tatsunoko (Wii) are still on track for their Jan. 19 and Jan. 26 dates, it delayed the threesome to avoid competing with other new games, maximize the sales volume of the new Capcom titles, and preserve the value of the brands associated with these games.
