Capcom Start National Resident Evil: Outbreak (PS2) Marketing Campaign

Capcom today announced a national marketing campaign to support the upcoming release of Resident Evil Outbreak for the PS2. For the first time ever, Capcom will be running an in-theater campaign where spots will run during the month of April to an estimated audience of more than 5 million movie goers. There will also be an extensive television marketing campaign, which begins on March 29th and runs throughout April, generating more than 57 million consumer impressions. These ads will support the overall marketing initiative, which includes print and online advertising, an online street team, promotional and retail partnerships, as well as several consumer launch events.
Capcom Brings 'Way of the Samurai 2' (PS2) To The US

Developed by Acquire, Way of the Samurai 2 will build on its predecessor's mix of fighting and adventure. The game will be set in a war-torn town during the end of feudal Japan's Edo period. Players will be torn between the town's corrupt magistrate and a group of leaderless ronin. Its story will occur over 10 days and will have a much larger cast of characters and slate of side quests.
Capcom Europe Signs 'Rogue Ops'

Based on Cinemaware’s mega hit Defender of the Crown franchise whichhas sold more than one million units worldwide, Robin Hood: Defender of the Crown is a fusion of action, role-playing and strategy genres that seamlessly blend cinematic presentations with unique medieval action-sequences. Capcom Entertainment announce four Nintendo GameCube titles, Dead Phoenix, Killer 7, P.N.03 and Resident Evil 4 each promising to take interactive entertainment to a whole new level. This impressive line up of games will have players exploring the far reaches of the sky, fighting futuristic enemy mechs, assuming the role of an assassin with seven different personas, and investigating the origin of the progenitor virus. P.N.03 is scheduled to release this summer, Dead Phoenix this fall, Killer 7 in 2004, and the release date for Resident Evil 4 is TBD. Capcom has announced a new title for PS2, Chaos Legion. The game is based on the serial of the same name which runs in the popular Japanese fantasy anthology Dragon Magazine. Though it has the look of a 3D action title, producer Yoshinori Ono describes it as a "fantasy opera," with some RPG elements, different in style from the Resident Evil, Onimusha, or Devil May Cry series. Capcom Eurosoft today confirmed that it will be publishing its first PlayStation 2 titles on Sony Computer Entertainment Europe’s Platinum range this coming June. The first two titles are Onimusha: Warlords and Resident Evil Code: Veronica X both of which topped the charts when released last year.
