At Comic-con 2005, EA announced today that acclaimed comic writer, Mark Millar, and artist, Terry Dodson, will be joining the roster of top comic book talent, including Jae Lee, on the development of Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects. The game features multiple Super Heroes from the Marvel Universe as well as a new set of characters created by EA called, "The Imperfects."

AT&T today announced it will will host Turbine's multiplayer games, including Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach, The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar, and the critically acclaimed franchise titles Asheron's Call and Asheron's Call 2, from its local Internet Data Center.

Omni Interactive Audio today revealed they have signed an ongoing, long-term deal to create and integrate all the sound effects for future chapters of Guild Wars, the new online role playing game developed by ArenaNet and published by NCSoft.

Phoenix Technologies and Taito Corporation today announced that Taito and Phoenix collaborated to create an open, secure Windows-based game environment by integrating Phoenix Technologies' Security Software Developer's Kit (SDK) into the Taito Type X game system platform.

Electronic Arts announced today that Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects under the EA GAMES brand will be released this fall for the PS2, Xbox, GameCube and the PSP. The game will feature Super Heroes from the Marvel Universe as well as a new set of characters created through collaboration with EA and top comic book industry talent.

The winners of the most prestigious awards in the European interactive entertainment industry were announced in London today at ECTS, Europe's premier trade show for the interactive entertainment industry. The ECTS 2003 Awards, hosted by Kate Russell, are the ninth in a long line of successful ceremonies and were attended by over 1000 leading industry figures in the trade hall of ECTS itself. Kate is a journalist, presenter and self-confessed technophile and has appeared on Gamer.tv, Sky TV, LWT and the BBC as a technology reporter, as well as having contributed to a number of leading computing and technology magazines. Ubi Soft Entertainment today proudly announces a series of awards won by multiple games presented at this year's ECTS trade show in Earls Court, London.

Ubi Soft's soon-to-be-released XIII picked up two awards including Overall Best Game of the Show and Best Console Game of the Show. Other award winners are Far Cry, for Best PC Game of the Show and EverQuest II for Best Online Game of the Show.
