Risk: Factions will offer innovative ways of experiencing the timeless turn-based board game in both objective-based and world conquest modes. Alien Breed Evolution is an action packed, tense single player adventure and an absolute blast of a co-op game, a “retro-modern” remake of the 1991 original that helped the now indie dev/publisher burst onto the Amiga scene 18 years ago.

Back in Aug. 2007 we reported that the two Irrational Games divisions got renamed into 2K Boston and 2K Australia, ,symbolizing the studios' further integration into the 2K Games family, but two years later 2K Boston is going back to its roots according to GameInformer (and confirmed by the official site). Irrational Games, known for Bioshock but also System Shock 2 and Freedom Force, claims it is "a renewed commitment to the studio's fans."

Video gamers made it a happier, brighter holiday season for sick children at more than 70 hospitals this year, raising more than $1.7 million through donations, events and an auction for Child’s Play.  The community-supported charity foundation provides books, movies, toys and video games for children to play with during their stays at hospitals.

We finished watching Up, and if you haven't seen it yet, it's great. It's a bit of an emotional roller coaster but damn good. On the flip side, we also watched Echelon Conspiracy, and for a movie with big names like Edward Burns, Ving Rhames and Jonathan Pryce, it sure was majorly disappointing.

Tonight, we may try to see Avatar again. I hope the third time's the charm, as the shows were sold out hours in advance for our two previous attempts.
