BioShock is 2K Games' hybrid first-person shooter, in the works over at System Shock 2 developers Irrational Games, combining elements of sci-fi and role-playing genres. After a successful petition, 2K Games revealed the LE will include a Big Daddy figurine, a Making Of DVD, a soundtrack CD, and an embossed graphic designed by the winner of the current Cover Art Contest.

Local
TV channel 3000 reported that a historic railroad roundhouse in Madison, Wisconsin, caught fire last week in the middle of the night. The building housed various companies, including Prey developer, Human Head Studios. According to reports, the back of the building went up in flames; the cause is still under investigation, but the servers were apparently saved. Codemasters announced that Operation Flashpoint 2 has been in development for over two years by an internal studio and will be coming to PC and major consoles (wild guess this means PS3 and X360). While details are still limited, OpFlash 2 uses the same Neon Engine as its Colin McRae DIRT racing game and will also feature extensive online capabilities for epic multiplayer battlefield action.

Earlier today Civ fansite
Apolyton revealed that Civilization III and Civ IV designer Soren Johnson had left Firaxis, and teamed up with EA, which he left in 2000 to join up with aforementioned Sid Meiers studio. EA confirmed the rumor and let us know that Soren has indeed joined the Maxis team, currently developing Will Wright's (r)evolutionary title Spore.
