The retail version of Knights of the Nine is a collection (for PC) that includes Knights of the Nine plus all the other DLC released to date. The expansion itself will be available on Nov 21 through either Xbox Live Marketplace, 800 points, or downloadable for PC at $9.99. The retail launch edition will launch Dec. 4, and cost $19.99, unfortunately a full Xbox 360 retail package is not planned for now, but is an option that is being looked into.

Sony Europe today announced that they've sold 40 million PlayStation 2 units in Europe and PAL territories, surpassing the PS1's 39 million mark. PlayStation 2 has over 2,000 titles available throughout Europe, with another 50 due for release in time for Christmas. In the previous month, over 100,000 units were sold per week, according to SCEE President David Reeves.

Galactic Civilizations II: Dark Avatar adds a multitude of new features, a new singleplayer campaign, the elimination of two of the game’s alien races and the introduction of several others. Stardock announced that people who pre-order the Dark Avatar expansion will get access to the open beta, which will begin on November 16.
