Valve has announced that they are working around the clock to get all of the pieces of Episode Two ready to show at the Leipzig Games Convention. Valve will be not only be showing off Episode Two, but also Team Fortress 2, and Portal. If you're planning on being near Leipzig, Germany in late August, you are invited to drop by their area and take a look.

While Sony promised that all PSOne and PS2 games would be backward compatible, it also unveiled that even your old savegames will be useable on the PS3. To use saved data on a PS2 memory card, you must copy the data onto a virtual memory card within the hard disk,which will require a PS2/PSone memory card adaptor to copy the data to your PS3. A memory card adaptor is designed to edit, up/download game saves to and from EMS flash card or smart media card. Details on the adaptor, as to price or manufactorer, were however not provided

EA today announced that fashion street wear brand 55DSL will be coming to Need for Speed Carbon. Exclusively designed items from 55DSL, plus a selection of garments from their ‘Zurka and the 55 Vagabonds’ winter collection, will feature prominently on key in-game characters in the game.

Local newspaper Honolulu Star-Bulletin is reporting that Konami is shutting down its Hawaian studio in Waikiki, and laying off 40 employees by end of this year. The reason given was global reorganization of the company and shifting resources to its L.A. and Las Vegas facilities.
