2K Games and FIRAXIS Games, the world renowned video game developer, today announced that Sid Meier's Civilization IV for PC has gone gold and is off to manufacturing. Sid Meier's Civilization IV will ship to North American retail stores on October 25th.

Epic Games announced today that it has licensed OC3 Entertainment's facial animation technology FaceFX for use in Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3, making it available to all Unreal Engine 3 licensees. Epic Games will use the FaceFX product in their upcoming titles Gears of War and Unreal Tournament 2007 to create emotive characters and cinematic-quality dialogue sequences.

FATE is an RPG in which the quests are fast and fun with richly detailed artwork, 3D graphics and interactive content delivered exclusively via download. Earlier this week FATE developer Travis Baldree announced that he left WildTangent Friday the 7th, on totally amicable terms, for a job that allows him a unique opportunity to spend more time with my family. 2K Games informed us that a second Serious Sam II demo will be released this Monday at 10 AM! The new level incorporates the recently released patch (fixing issues with the interface + multiplayer), and includes an additional level from the full game that can be played in both single and co-op multiplayer! For those who already have the full game, the level is "Greendale". We will of course have it available on our fileserver network at the aforementioned time.
