Jester Interactive Publishing announced today that Duke Marketing is appointed sole UK & Ireland distributors for its PS2 title TT Superbikes. The game has been developed by Jester over 3 years with input from Duke, the Isle of Man Department of Tourism & Leisure, and several leading ‘road racers’ to give an unprecedented level of realism to the entire 37.73 mile TT course. Game modes include ‘Mad Sunday’, TT races, tutorials and over 40 different bike selections.

Foundation 9 Entertainment today announced that it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire Pipeworks Software, an independent studio focusing on development of entertainment software titles for major software publishers. After the transaction is completed, Pipeworks will continue to develop video games for the PS2, Xbox, and the PSP.

Activision today announced that the company has signed an agreement with SOE to publish Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade for PSP in all territories excluding U.S., Canada and Japan, as well as those areas serviced by SCEA. Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade is the only multiplayer action role-playing game currently available for the PSP.

Today Ubisoft announced the creation of a new videogame development studio that will employ 200 designers, animators and programmers in Quebec City. This announcement is part of the recently announced project to create 1000 new jobs by 2010 in Quebec, thereby bringing its total number of employees to 2000 in the province.

One hundred years have passed since the evil Sorcerer Zarok was defeated at the Battle of Gallowmere, heroically cut down by a mortally wounded Sir Daniel Fortesque. Or at least, that's what the people were told; in fact poor Sir Dan was a bit of a coward, falling in the very first wave of arrows. Now Zarok has returned, turning day into night, and raising an undead army to conquer the land. As a side effect Dan has also been resurrected... now, he has the chance to defeat Zarok and in death become the hero he never was in life.

Digital Jesters, founded by ex-CDV members in 2003, announced that it has reached an agreement with Take-Two to distribute PC games in North America. The games that are part of the agreement will be the first titles Digital Jesters has published in the U.S. Since Digital Jesters is self-publishing Bet on Soldier in North America, we can assume it will be part of the agreement.

Fox News is reporting that Godfather director Francis Ford Coppola is not happy with Paramount and EA regarding the upcoming video game based on his Mafia trilogy. In an interview that will air coming Sunday 11 AM EDT on AMC's 'Sunday Morning ShootOut, Coppola says "I had absolutely nothing to do with the game and I disapprove, I think it's a misuse of film." Coppola does not like the way the characters are being portrayed and the game ends up being nothing but a shootout. To top it all off Coppola claims he never gave, nor was asked, permission to make a video game out of the movie(

A sad day for the DOOM 3 fans in Germany as publisher Activision did not manage to receive a rating for its game, and therefore cannot sell the newest expansion 'Resurrection of Evil' in German retail stores. Co-developed by Nerve Software and id Software, DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil continues the terrifying and intense action of the already classic DOOM 3.

Bowser's raising ghosts to join his evil cause. When he uses these ghosts to take over Yoshi Island, Yoshi sets off to defeat the malicious spirits and run Bowser off. Yoshi's Universal Gravitation takes advantage of Nintendo's tilt-sensor technology, making Yoshi move and manipulate certain objects by tilting the GBA. Invasion is an adventure and action game which takes place in a non-fantastic medieval world, where a young caporal is going to fight to take back his kingdom. To achieve this goal, the main character will have to use his communications skills, by adapting his clothes and attitude in function of the persons he will meet. Using this ability, he will gain trust of people and organize an army to fight back the oppressor. Invasion features varied gameplay to ensure a great experience for the player, where he will fight entire armies of medieval age knights.
