Test Drive: Eve of Destruction blends the best elements of racing and demolition and is packed with 25 different events, including Demo Derby, where the last car standing wins; Gauntlet, where the player climbs behind the wheel of a hearse and tries to finish a set number of laps while the rest of the field attempts to stop them; Trailer Race, a new brand of racing event, where players compete while towing various types of trailers and must finish the race with something resembling a trailer still attached.

A few weeks ago, Ignition announced that they were bringing SNK's 'Metal Slug' to Europe (PS2/Xbox expected on October 2004), and today, it seems they are expanding their cooperation. Between September and early 2005, European console owners will be treated to home versions of some of SNK's most popular franchises, including: King of Fighters, Samurai Shodown, Metal Slug, and SNK vs. Capcom.

Blizzard Entertainment today announced plans to enter into an agreement with Swingin' Ape Studios for the collaborative development of multi-platform titles based on Blizzard licenses. Their first project will be to continue work on the upcoming tactical-action console game, StarCraft: Ghost. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The collection box, Battlefield 1942: The WWII Anthology, was launched in the USA at the end of May 2004. It contains the basic Battlefield 1942 game, the Road to Rome and Secret Weapons expansion packs, as well as additional material that has been released within the Battlefield series. When Battlefield Anthology is to be launched in Europe is not yet decided. At the end of March 2004 the Battlefield series had sold more that 3.7 million copies.
