EA has revealed that it is not only working on Medal of Honor for next-gen platforms, but apparently there is also a version in the works for the PSP. While not yet officially announced, Medal of Honor: Heroes, scheduled for fall 2006, is not a port, but an all new title featuring 12 new European battlefields, and 32 person multiplayer support. Dead Rising is survival horror game, in which you play Frank West, a freelance photographer who has made his way to an idyllic, but zombies ridden, suburban town to get his hands on the scoop. The September issue of EGM claims that Konami's classic PSOne RPG title Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, known for its nonlinear level design, may be making an appearance on Xbox Live Arcade. Rumors are that the 9 years old SOTN, scheduled for Q1 2007, is around 480mb, which might indicate that Microsoft has eased the initial 50mb restrictions for XBLA titles.

Midway today announced financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2006. Quarterly net revenue was $25.9M, compared to $36.9M at the same time last year, and net loss clocked in at $31M, which is a small increase over the previous year's Q2 loss of $29.9M. Midway anticipates similar numbers for Q3 but expects Mortal Kombat: Armageddon to buoy Q4 results.

Activision released its financial numbers for Q1 of fiscal 2007, and while revenue dropped from $241 to $188 million, and net losses went up from $3.6 to $18 million, the overall results were better than expected, mainly due to strong sales of X-Men: ToG and Over The Hedge. The subsequent conference call revealed that Enemy Territory: Quake Wars has a tentative release date set for Q4 2007 (ends March 2007) and executives were impressed by the popularity of the two Call of Duty 2 mappacks, which garnered a total of nearly $1 million.
