Activision CEO Mike Griffith recently revealed that multiple other titles in the franchise are coming up. In an interview with Rolling Stone , former Guns'n' Roses shredder Slash may have revealed another installment in the franchise based on legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix saying "having the Aerosmith guys do it was very cool ’cause Aerosmith’s one of the bands I was heavily influenced by. And Metallica’s doing it, that’s great. And they’re doing a Hendrix one, which is great."

SCEA And 'God of War' Director David Jaffe Accused of Plagiarism

While SCEA is working on a third title in the franchise, and in talks about a God of War movie, it has been accused, and sued, for plagiarism by Jonathon Bissoon-Dath and Jennifer Barrette-Herzog who claim God of War is based on their Olympiad screenplay they sent to Sony Pictures back in 2002, three years before the first GoW title appeared on the PS2. While the plantiffs list various obvious similarities between the two projects, then project director David Jaffe says the lawsuit is "inaccurate, incomplete, abstracted and/or misleading."
